Anyways, I loved everything about this book and can't wait to push on some of my friends who love Harry Potter, since that is what this book reminds me of. He is also sad because even though he saved Grover from the Minotuar, he couldn't save his mother in time and she disolved in chapter four. He's not perfect, he has his faults, but he's such a fun character. It's really funny and has a lot of Greek mythology in it.
He developed a love of violence that surpassed that of any other Olympian, which made him the perfect candidate for being the god of war. . This first book was the intro to the whole thing, which is very important.This is book is absolutely the BEST I’ve read Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Hero’s of Olympus, and reading trails of Apollo.
The setting of this awesome book is at Camp Half-Blood and there are a lot of cliffhangers in this adventouros book. Percy is very brave because in chapter four he saves his friend Grover from a Minotuar. To know Percy Jackson is to really like Percy Jackson. I mean, it's not a blatant ripoff of Harry, but it's a little reminiscent of it in a great way.Unlike some books that are classified for young adults and can be read with just as much joy by adults (Harry Potter, Golden Compass, Little Brother), this book is not enjoyable. . "Should be fun" Percy grinned "as long as no one tries to play shag, marry kill gods version again, I'm pretty sure it was Ares who made me turn anything I touch into bullets for a whole day. OMG!!!! Now Percy has just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property, and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. There, his mother is taken away in a fight with a Minotaur. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK I CANNOT STOP READING IT I LOVE THIS BOOK AND THE WHOLE SERIES OF PERCY JACKSON! I was completely blown away by this whole series. . The Lightning Thief follows Percy Jackson as he discovers he isn't exactly a normal boy, he is a demigod. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But at one of his schools, something strange happens on a field trip. But because I'm just not as enthusiastic to read a book that I've watched a film adaptation of. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? For example, in chapter eight, all of the kids at Camp Half-Blood played capture the flag and Percy discoved he was the son of Posiedon after he was brutily attacked by the sons' and duaghters' of Ares, the god of war. He's not perfect, he has his faults, but he's such a fun character.
