With the shield nerf, the biggest problem with Doomfist his ability to survive when he takes a mad flank, is taking a huge hit. It wouldn't be so BS if it's not a one shot ability.Unless, for some reason, the game decides that this one time out of ten, the character will gracefully slide down that wall instead of just dying. It’s only a 1 second cool down if it’s already out. Hero is strong af as it is, the literal assassin tank doesn't need more damage throughput imo.Blizzard doesn't like Overwatch if Tanks aren't exceptionally overpowered.Also blizz: Why is he meta shifting towards 3 tank/3 support? his mobility should not be touched. I literally feel like I'm playing old brig when I play him. AFAIK, Doomfist was one of the few viable counters. The best thing they can do for him right now is to take the punch nerf off and leave the shields to see how it goes from there. That little bump barely came up to my ankle, and one of my foot barely touched it.
I'd rather take even a 50% nerf to his barrier than have a cooldown on the deployment of it. Try to always make use of Doomfist’s burst of speed to cross gaps or escape from a tough fight that isn’t in your favor. There need to be more abilities that disable or do additional damage to barriers, just more ways to circumvent the barriers in general. I would prefer if that was the only change if they take anything live, and then we can see where that leaves Doom after. It would force Doom to stay engaged longer to secure the kill (even if it's just an extra second to get 2 shots off) and Doom players would also have to decide if they want to use their uppercut to finish off a player or use it to evade.
