Would be Dark Castle Entertainment's first, and the only, horror film to finally receive a fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 71% rating, as the previously released, and eventually released, films were critically panned. Korey Coleman said it best: "You see, this is what happens when hipsters play God." Critics Consensus: It doesn't take its terrific premise quite as far as it should, but Splice is a smart, well-acted treat for horror fans. Not rated yet! Bottom line: Splice asks you to suspend your disbelief to the extreme, but if you can, it's a whole lot of fun. August 24, 2010 Despite the conventional plot it's always fun, even when the action gets increasingly absurd. Netflix rating:
