San Bruno has been discussing improving the Library since I moved here 12 years ago. In all honesty i haven't been to the library in years.
The Library bookdrop is open to accept returns, however Library item due dates have been extended until after the Library reopens.
In compliance with the San Mateo County Shelter in Place Order the Library is temporarily closed.
or is it following for next fall?you can reserve books online and schedule for pick upsHi Andrew-- New; 39:47. 425 Stadium Drive (205) 348-1080 ; The Angelo Bruno Business Library serves the business information needs of the students and faculty of the Culverhouse College of Business and the Manderson Graduate School of Business. University Libraries • Box 870266 • Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0266 • (205) 348-6047 One editorial I read says "its fine as is" which is probably true for a lot of people. not all steel, glass and modern like the San Mateo main library, but imagine the 1980's and 1990's yesteryear kinda feel, where all the shelves are linear and stacked. We would like that too.
but it's a safe area and (when the weather permits) it's not too bad of a walk if you park somewhere further down. I love the library. I can even do without the renovation. Small library, sometimes crowded depending on time of day. I hope they renovate this place soon! Charming :)Full disclosure: I have a very soft spot for libraries of all sorts and can't imagine saying a bad thing about any library. Ugh. Databases; Course/Subject Guides; Annual Reports; WRDS; Contact. The library is also so convenient now- with the app and the ability to hold books online, the hold section where you go to pick up your books, and a book self check out you don't even need to interact with anybody when you go to the library. Angelo Bruno Business Library. I have caught up on so many tv shows, watched so many movies, and read a lot of books that I had to sacrifice while I was in school- all for free with my library card! I mean they don't even have the self checkout set up that almost all the libraries do.It's an older, run down library. Since moving back, I've spent a lot of time at the library. We hope we'll be able to see you soon!I must admit, even though I live in San Mateo, I usually give new Music CDs and DVDs to donate to the San Bruno Public Library.Went to the library today for Junior Giants Signups. You can make an appointment by… It's in dire need of an upgrade. Coming back post NCLEX and jobless, I was desperate to find a place to go outside of my house where I wouldn't smell like coffee but could have some real quiet and read, study, and prepare for interviews.
I'll go almost out of my way to find something positive about a library, just by the very nature of it's existence. Library staff are checking the Library’s email (sbpl@plsinfo.org) and phone messages (650-616-7078) regularly to assist you with Library related questions. And the library is pretty small so there's no place to sit and do work in peace. SB Library fed my Six Feet Under habit when I needed to backtrack and watch the first 3 seasons that I had somehow missed before I realized it was the most important thing in my life.
I'll admit I do miss the interaction of trying to find your books through the shelves, but it's so convenient to be able to just order the book online and find it when you're in a rush. It has an old-fashioned kinda quality to it, e.g. I can't even remember the time i read an actual comic book lol. It's just the noise.
I'd come here more often if they resolved these issues. There are other larger libraries in area but this is convenient as I can take bus to San Bruno Avenue and it is just a short walk down El Camino.Older than dirt library in serious need of a remodel - and very small too. Overall I recommend this library as a place to study, hang out and read, or even watch Netflix on your phone. All i can say is I'm definitely impressed by this local library. There's lots of natural light. I thought libraries are supposed to be quiet anyway. It's clean. It's not you, it's me fits in this case. The good news is the San Bruno Library is now offering curbside pickup of requested items by appointment.
The collections are well organized. I would definitely recommend if you are a San Bruno native!Millennials be like: "Guys. You hear everything.
Call or email us if we can help. It's so loud in here. New titles, recently rated, and recently tagged by the library community.
The lady who helped was really nice.I just found this little library located little bit away from the down town San Bruno in a residential area. At the San Bruno Public Library, of course! I know my kids have but this is actually the first time i had a chance to step in. I needed to ask the reference librarian a question to track down the book I was there to locate, and she was great, actively taking me with her, and pulling it off the shelf.I've made it a personal mission to use and write about over 40 public libraries in San Francisco and nearby communities within a twelve month period. Behind the librarians' area there are tables and the second level of the library is open to the first level kind of like a loft. Make an appointment by emailing us (sbpl@plsinfo.org) or calling us 650-616-7078. It seems the source of all the noise is the librarians' area where they check people out. The adult section was the same with a lounge area near the magazine section.
Oh, and I've also been to the new library in San Mateo which blows this place out of the water. When Signups were over i ventured to the upper main floor of the library. The crowd is small (10-15 infant/parents).Part of me doesn't want to post since this is my favorite secret library.Seriously, the best well-kept secret and killer threat to Barnes and Noble in my opinion.Guess where I'm writing this? Resources.
I found it, parked on the street which was easy enough (I have no patience for difficult parking situations). I guess I'll have to drive all the way to the Millbrae library or the Skyline library to do my work. This library is blah. It's too small. There's not enough places to sit. It's old and dingy.I wish they'd upgrade! Ugh.Before moving away, I took this library for granted. Not to mention, it's a free service where you won't get kicked out or have to buy coffee if you're not a fan of coffee/smell like coffee after leaving!
