This is very kid driven, and kid friendly.
For the size, they have jammed packed a ton into the area. Lastly, they just got a new octopus and watching their enrichment time show with it was very neat. We enjoyed this experience as a family!This place is a bit small, but I love it! Some of the cooler exhibits and fish were hard to view due to the amount of kids. It's pretty cool… Staff were knowledgeable about the sea life and very friendly. My favorite parts were the round room where all the walls are a fish tank and these fish just constantly swim around you. There's one or two informational sessions of the fish.
It was impressive and helpful! It is literally in the middle of nowhere about 40 minutes from the general Orlando/Disney/universal area but SO worth the drive! When I asked about the educator discount, I was told that all I needed was a valid school ID and I had to be teaching in Florida. Very cool aquarium!This is a great place for both little and "big" kids. My daughter has autism and loves it here.I really loved how interactive this aquarium is- all the unique tanks, shaped so you can step inside the curve or up inside the tanks (for kids or limber adults) and just great for photo ops/selfies. They have little tunnels for the children to crawl up in where they find themselves in the middle of the aquarium. Our advance purchased tickets were scanned, and then we SEA LIFE Orlando … It's about $60, but we come here almost weekly.
They have a list of times with activities that allow the customers to get a closer look at each fish/animal. The employees were SUPER friendly and knowledgeable. Came out pleasantly surprised. The large tank has many different ways to view it including 2 tunnels- one of which fish can swim under and above you with full view. But they do allow you to go through the aquarium multiple times. They also have special days with different themes. The fluorescent lighting in the tanks reflecting of the beautiful colors of the fish, along with the soft music, allows you to escape, even if it's short-lived. If you want to escape the daily craziness, come here.
It wasn't crowded which really allowed us to enjoy each exhibit at our own comfortable pace & practice social distancing. They do not have any of the larger, more intelligent sea creatures as it goes against what they believe in as a company.
