Grab one and take a walk along the canal or wander around downtown!I love coffee but I'm not a purist. Nothing jumped out at us so much that we felt the need to buy some beans to take home with us, but if we lived in town we'd certainly be regulars there.Beware the little piece of chocolate (Pump street) which costs over 10 usd.
Quills I located in the lobby area of the Nine on Canal apartment building. Service was great and the drinks are great quality! Let me start with the cookie! I'm excited to to return. Support local and support Quills!It's been six years since I wrote my review of Quills.
I was served by a gorgeous woodland nymph fairy with hair that makes Farrah Fawcett's look like Polly pocket. Of the Quills locations in Louisville, this one might be my favorite. Almost all the seats -- and definitely the small tables designed for one or two people -- have ample access to outlets.What a wonderful place to study, relax or even meet up for dates.
We believe there is something for everyone at Quills. It was smooth and delicious - not overly sweet.

Lots of varied seating options. While they don't bake items on site, they do have a good selection of muffins, scones, brownies... even a gluten free cookie on occasion. I have frequented the NULU and Baxter Ave locations and can honestly say both have had top notch service and coffee! I asked about business and she said that they are used to commuter traffic that has lessened due to the majority of people WFH so please please please check them out if you're in the Baxter Ave area! Seems like a great hang out for the residents upstairs, dog friendly too.Quill's is my favorite place to study with my friends off campus. Be careful with your first sip until you get acclimated to the spiciness. I ordered an americano and a huge cookie! I could hear just fine and didn't feel like I had to raise my voice to be heard.The last time I visited this location was sometime in undergrad many years ago.I feel like the picture says it all. The large window makes you feel one with the Highlands.

I'm a big fan of the salted bourbon carmel latte. My usual order is the 16oz Chai Latte, and this morning I did the "dirty chai" with an extra shot of espresso! I honestly believe this might be the best crust I've ever had. That being said, it is located in its own little nook, so you definitely feel like you're in a coffee shop, but you also get a little foot traffic from people coming and going from the apartments. Quills Coffee is a specialty coffee roastery from Louisville, KY with cafes in Louisville, New Albany and Indianapolis, and a growing list wholesale customers. They accommodated our large group well! They also have cookies, brownies, and treats that are fantastic. The management is exceptional and there is nothing negative about this venue.
