Just look at the problems: forced victimizing, incompetent characters, memory reset ending and a plethora of tension less death.
Characters: there were some characters that shifted too much, again Chronicle, as well as that chick were suddenly it was about her being a mother.
Üso wants with all his heart to protect those around him, so he becomes the pilot of the Victory Gundam.
I haven’t seen much of it because all of Uso’s game appearances have been while piloting the V2 Gundam he presumably gets roughly halfway through the series, but the original is fun too. That damn OP … Also, this anime was old, so unless you are, or want to become one of the battle hardened Gundam vets I dont reccomend watching this one. I couldnt see him as a great character, there were other bad guys that played their parts much better. Then at the end of this chunk of episodes it looks like they’re trying to add more depth again as Ltjg.
Animation: Again meh, I accounted for the fact that it is old and im sure they did great for the time, but meh. Jangan lupa nonton anime lainnya ya. The climax of the series was the best stretch of episodes imo ..the angel halo was a downright scary thing to think about morso then huge lasers or colony drops. other anime fans just like you. It’s such a frustrating series.How far did you get, and if its further, does it get any better….
Overall, 1.5/5. I thought that it backfired because of Uso's continued idiocy, coupled with his uncanny ability to somehow shrug the stress off, the impact of those deaths ended up looking contrived. As the series moves on we see he has a good side, unlike most of the Empire who are just dastardly evil, helping League Militaire member Katejina and later trying to broker peace between the Zanscare Empire and a third party airport that was caught in the middle of their battle with League Militaire… before his fellow soldiers just started bombing the place and fighting anyway… My only criticism is his face mask, which just looks like a white balaclava that he keeps taking on and off all the time.
I feel so tempted to reread the Evangelion manga now, anything to get this bad taste out of my mouth. Look at the massacre at the end of Zeta Gundam, that came at the end, when we had enough time to grow to care about the characters, not within a few episodes of the characters debuting. Throw in an overabundance of extremely annoying Haro robot and yikes.The actual League Militaire don’t get much better. Oh boy… Well, I was warned, even by the creator of the show himself (literally Tomino told people not to buy the DVDs in an insert on the DVD release…) but now I’ve finally started to watch Victory Gundam and it’s not good!
There was some good character design, music, and animation that were some of the better parts of the show. Like Liked by 1 person. Victory Gundam, the first of four Gundam television series that aired on TV Asahi in Japan sequentially from 1993 through 1996 and the second longest Gundam television show with 51 episodes (SD Gundam Force is the first with 52 episodes), also featuring the youngest protagonist in the Gundam franchise: the thirteen year old Uso Evin. There were some good mobile suit battles, particularly at the spaceport/airport mentioned above, but they were often ruined by… things listed below…Where to start? I did not like her one bit at all, and how the ending wrapped up with her character. They’re full on the same forest / river backgrounds and there just isn’t any interesting or fun characters to follow.

I mean there isn’t a single likeable character on either side, really. I was glad to see that. Fingers crossed it gets better, because of course THIS would have to be the longest series of them all…Yeah, that’s the general feeling I have too.
The leaders are all lacking charisma, Marbet, the pilot who Uso takes over for when she gets injured, just keeps banging on about how it’s pathetic they keep putting a child in the cockpit of a fighter during war but not doing anything about it (or trying to do something but immediately failing and tagging out to Uso) and we’re eventually introduced to the “Shrike Team”, which are a set of six female mobile suit pilots that seemingly exist to be killed off. Founded in 2001 as the first anime & manga recommendation database.
That is, all of the characters like char that wear a mask.
Some of the characters centered around this too much while others seemed completely oblivious to this theme. Each country sends a Gundam to Earth for this prestigious tournament in the hopes of winning power and glory for their homeland!
Seriously, they’re introduced in Episode 10 and by Episode 14 three of them are dead. It is opposed only by the League Militaire, whose state of the art mobile suits and young pilots comprise the only real resistance movement. Feminism and motherhood were a huge part of this anime, but it was weird, I feel like that theme could be used well, but not here.
