The excursions and the staff were great! terrible casino; expensive amenities and shopping. Alaska is one of the most popular cruise destinations around, and as a result almost all cruise lines head to Alaska during the summer. WeThe inside passage is a beautiful transition from USA to Canada to the Coast of Alaska.

Have read opinions to the contrary and thought I'd relate my personal experience.Trip enhancements to consider: a stateroom with a balcony (preferably 11th floor/ starboard/ midship), early walk-off disembarkment at end of trip w/ luggage valet transfer to airport ($20 per person), late July or early August w/some sunshine, excursions to include helicopter landing on glacier and fishing trips. We wish this didn't happen but could've been worse.
An Inside Passage Cruise carries passengers along various stretches of the long coastal route. Captain Werner Timmers did all he could to ensure we spotted whales, bears and eagles whenever they appered.

This is a very informative and interesting cruise. Scenery brilliant and the icebergs were amazing. With an abundance of landmarks and wildlife, take in the sights and sounds of the Inside Passage from the comfort of your ship or on a thrilling excursion ashore. I had taken 5 books and read none of them there was so much to see and do .ALL staff were friendly, attentive and positive.

As well as humpback whales, there's a good chance of spotting bald eagles, blue heron, and other animal and bird life. I have been on several NCL cruises and this was the first negative one. We are still waiting to receive our On Board Credit that we applied for prior to our cruise.
Bodies of Water, Geologic Formations. ADC and the Government telling us to "shelter in place, not to travel or cruise" and ADC suspending its spring sailings. The staterooms [cabins] food and entertainment were outstanding. We really enjoyed the ability to sightsee and hike walking distance from the ship. A marvellous wildlife enthusiast, he would turn the ship 360 to give everyone a view of special glaciers as he did for us all to see the Margerie Glacier. Great time.Relaxing cruise that pampers you and gives you a “taste” of Alaska.

We enjoyed a verandah stateroom because we tended to prefer a quiet time sitting outside with a glass of wine of an evening and this was spectacular! Mild annoyances: ship has music/ presentations blaring everywhere, not many quiet spaces, buffett is a busy cafeteria style, optional $50 charge for all the soda you can drink is not worth it. Even though the towns and cities have decent populations, they are a distance from any other city. We partner with the best cruise travel agents. The glacier was great - especially the NPS Rangers coming on-board to share information.
Our Dutch Captain does this over and over but he made it all fresh and exciting for us! This small piece of Alaska is an incredible experience.We sailed to Juneau and ports of interest back to Vancouver. At Vancouver we boarded a cruise ship called the Zuiderdam where we headed of for the Inside Pasage. However the ship itself was extremely old and worn.
Not a lot to do on the ship itself- bring a couple good books! We had family members that have done Viking river cruises and just couldn't say enough great things about them.
