A collection of Terry Pratchett's short works, fiction and non-fiction, with annotations by Pratchett and by the editors. 18,20 € List price: 59,32 € We can notify you when this item is back in stockAbeBooks may have this title (opens in new window). 9,79 € 7,89 € Esther M. Friesner If you're a fan already, absolutely buy this. Quite enjoyable, but not as recommended to the casual reader as to the Pratchett fan...If you're looking for good Pratchett and you're new to his works, aim for the Discworld books (I recommend Small Gods), then come back to this.
I also really enjoyed his description of his creative process, after finishing a book-- it's interesting to see the ideas for one of his books take place at the very early stages-- if anything, I was surprised by how developed it seemed so early on ; and it's nice to hear that he also likes to look for distractions when he's trying to work like the rest of us mortals.
I would not have purchased the book in a brick and mortar bookstore. Dates wrong.I have to admit that I "only" read the German version of this book ("Der ganze Wahnsinn", Piper Verlag) - and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to read the English original, regarding the fact that it costs about 200 GBP on Amazon.uk's "Marketplace" at the moment. Terry Pratchett 9,19 € Once More with Footnotes by Terry Pratchett, 9781886778573, available at Book Depository with free delivery worldwide. so we can make improvements. Discworld is an even richer place because of this book.A great collection of small pieces of Pratchett's writings. Have I missed something somewhere? Averaging out ones and fives gives a three. View all covers for Once More with Footnotes (logged in users can change User Preferences to always display covers on this page) Reviews Review by Carolyn Cushman (2004) in Locus, #527 December 2004 Introductions to books, fantasy con banquet speeches, talks to learned societies that don't take themselves too seriously (though "Imaginary Worlds, Real Stories" is both serious and seriously funny), short newspaper and magazine articles, a book-signing tour report (quietly hilarious, really), and an assortment of short stories, both Discworld-related and not. I would not have purchased the book in a brick and mortar bookstore. We’d love your help. Beyond that, though, there are some great essays about writing, fantasy, hats, Australia, and so on.
Could it be better? (he was a journalist; ephemeral was an understatement. Terry Pratchett was Guest of Honor at the 2004 World Fantasy Convention and the organizers had a great idea: A sort of odds-and-sods collection of all (well, much of) the small stuff Sir Terry has written over the past twenty years. There are a few short stories, all of which are good and most of which are excellent. Now I seem to read them from cover to covI don't normally read short story collections. Start by marking “Once More* *with footnotes” as Want to Read: A collection of Terry Pratchett's short works, fiction and non-fiction, with annotations by Pratchett and by the editors.
8,49 € It contains a mixture of short stories, articles, introductions to other books, and speeches, including his first published short story, "The Hades Business".
